The Lab Workbook and STEAM Challenges is a tool that gives you the opportunity to put what you have learned in class into practice. The labs in this book are related to one of the topics discussed in the corresponding textbook chapter. The labs are designed to provide a space for observation and experimentation. Furthermore, when you do the experiments, you will be able to familiarize yourself with lab instruments, the scientific method, and safety rules. There is also a STEAM challenge in every lab. STEAM is an English acronym for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. These challenges will enable you to find the solution to a problem or resolve a situation. The challenges are designed to be done in teams following the engineering design process.
